At the end of the five year period, any remaining unsecured debt is discharged. Although Chapter 13 bankruptcy can help people find the debt relief they need, it is important to understand the financial obligations of filing. I help clients understand what they will be expected to pay and determine if Chapter 13 is a feasible solution to their debt.
- Wage garnishments and home foreclosure: If you are having financial trouble and are facing wage garnishments or foreclosure, I can help you determine what options are available. I work with clients to negotiate with lenders or file bankruptcy to alleviate some of the financial stress. I also help clients understand the options available to remove their obligation as a debtor to pay deficiencies on their house or car.
